Due to my late father, I’ve been a devout, unapologetic, ardent, vociferous and loyal Houston Astros baseball club backer since I was 5 in ‘79. My Mom is from Chicago and grew up a mile from Wrigley going to mannnnny games.
I thank my lucky stars my unloved younger sibling and I had a Dad from Austin who loved the Astros; I’ve often wondered how it would be growing up a Cubs fan.
