I suppose it was so people wouldn’t get drunk and have parties or get drunk and let their guard down and forget to social distance. I don’t associate with anyone as a general rule so I felt entitled to flaut that particular statute.
Might get lucky with the CDC saying we can’t share a 40, or we get locked down again from monkey virus or another form of covid. Two years ago, would have trusted CDC almost always. Just political quacks now.

Many moons ago at SFA, local friends would take us to an older black guys house, Rosco, to buy beer after hours. You never knew what mixture of beers you would get! Kinda funny, but college kids with a know, will find the beer. One friend went to the quickie mart, counter person asleep on counter. ended up swiping couple cases. Tried that in high school with friend at another quickie mart in houston. We got out ok, but when we turned the corner, his FIAT Spyder failed. When we got back, the 6 was gone. Wasn’t meant to be! But fun. Friday pep rallies were drinking mornings also, same friend.
