Bregman, batting 2nd and playing 3rd, facing Corey Knebel (also the 1st game of his rehab assignment), flied out to CF on a 2-2 pitch. Knebel K’d the other 2 Skeeters in his 1 inning as an opener.

I hope next off season Bregman works more on flexibility and less on bulking up.

Thinking his season may be done. All of the rehab apparently for nothing. Diaz is a good substitute, especially for the Bregman the team was getting before the extended IL. Hope we lock Diaz up for a few years.

Yes, he needs to go hook up with whomever Correa hired the past couple years. I do not know for sure but feel like Correa made a switch from working out hard for bulk to flexibility and core-strengthening.

I’m with you Jim. I think his season is done. I was saying before the deadline we needed Marte, or some other bat, to cover if Bregman can’t stay in lineup. Hell, we needed another bat to lengthen the bench. Garcia and Castro are not pinch hit options off the bench. Alas, we failed to address that problem and it’s gonna bite us in the ass. Someone better wrap Diaz in bubble wrap. No one is allowed to breath around him. If we end up with Robel starting daily at third, or anywhere else for some reason, we are fucked. His defense is ok, but you might as well have a pitcher at the plate.

I think our rotation has us halfway to fucked now. The SF series was a litmus test for me, and I gave them a D.

Unfortunately, I agree with you on that as well.

I love that he keeps the updates coming.

We could use him.

Bregman is in the Skeeters lineup tonight, according to Mark Berman.

Should we hold our breath for this?

Is Diaz the contingency plan for next year if Correa goes elsewhere? He could start at short or third if Bregman takes short. He will be 26 next year entering his prime. Is there any reason he can’t be an everyday player?

For me, he could be. He has to stay well, but he is damn good.

We just claimed Jacob Wilson from the As.

Whoever he is.

Diaz is not an everyday shortstop.

I meant 3rd with Bregman sliding to SS. I think he can be a utility SS.
