Kind of off topic, but last year I started drinking a meal replacement shake for lunch. The brand name is Soylent. Their mint chocolate flavor comes in a green bottle.

Yeah, Stanton always has been so durable.

Ohtani definitely is an impressive athlete, and I really like the idea of a two way player. Kieschnick was in AAA
in RR when he retired, and I was really hoping he could get to Houston for a last hurrah. But, omg, the hype for Ohtani.

Game Seven continues to disturb my psyche. That was an historic great team. It should have won to preserve its legacy, and it lost to an inferior team on a destiny roll. The 2017 LAD could say the same thing.

Ohtani’s splitter was absolutely that good before his arm imploded. Mike Scott-esque, better than Clemens.
Also, '17 Stros were not inferior to the Dodgers, in any meaningful way, but I’m still not over G7 last year. May never be.
Jim, did you see that Jim Gideon got inducted in the College Baseball HOF? Saw it in the Statesman a couple of days ago and thought about you.
I did see that. I played with his brother Joe. Jim and I connected later because our adopted kids each had Type 1 diabetes. I have not seen Jim in years, but he is a good guy. Just learned Jim and I share a bday (9/26).
