The Whitley case is one of the biggest mysteries given his descent from one of the top prospects around
Tylenol is a helluva drug…
Coca Cola is cocaine.
Am I doing this right?
Soylent green is people.
It is known as speed, you know uppers, poppers, pep pills, crank, greenies.
Soylent green is people.
Kind of off topic, but last year I started drinking a meal replacement shake for lunch. The brand name is Soylent. Their mint chocolate flavor comes in a green bottle.

Another one down…
WASHINGTON -- Nationals ace Max Scherzer does not expect to miss any time after exiting his start against the Mets on Wednesday after one inning with a tweaked right hamstring. “It’s not a major injury, or really a minor injury,” Scherzer said...
He threw 112 pitches last outing, most by any pitcher so far this season. His velocity was down in that inning he pitched today.
Or at least the future of our favorite team. Things don’t look as rosy as they did a couple of years ago. At least we have 2017.
Damn straight.
Wouldn’t trade the last 5 years for anything in sports.
And I’m not conceding anything either. Still a lot of talent on the big team and in the organization.
Giancarlo Stanton leaves today’s game with a hamstring problem. Who could have possibly seen that coming?
Yeah, Stanton always has been so durable.
Perhaps the physique of a bodybuilder isn’t conducive to baseball.
This calls to mind 2 ridiculous articles I saw before the start a few weeks ago:
The first declared Ohtani’s splitter the most unhittable pitch in baseball. The second touted Stanton for comeback player of the year.
Ohtani definitely is an impressive athlete, and I really like the idea of a two way player. Kieschnick was in AAA
in RR when he retired, and I was really hoping he could get to Houston for a last hurrah. But, omg, the hype for Ohtani.
The article doesn’t say so, but I’m thinking this means T.J. surgery.
JV Not Progressing as Quickly as He Would Like
Kinda dovetails what we heard about Osuna: forearm to TJ.
Game Seven continues to disturb my psyche. That was an historic great team. It should have won to preserve its legacy, and it lost to an inferior team on a destiny roll. The 2017 LAD could say the same thing.
Ohtani’s splitter was absolutely that good before his arm imploded. Mike Scott-esque, better than Clemens.
Also, '17 Stros were not inferior to the Dodgers, in any meaningful way, but I’m still not over G7 last year. May never be.
Jim, did you see that Jim Gideon got inducted in the College Baseball HOF? Saw it in the Statesman a couple of days ago and thought about you.
I did see that. I played with his brother Joe. Jim and I connected later because our adopted kids each had Type 1 diabetes. I have not seen Jim in years, but he is a good guy. Just learned Jim and I share a bday (9/26).
