Aches and Pains 2020

We should make that a euphemism for something.

Whitley has turned into a world class bust. Hard to believe.

It’s impossible not to think about the meth.

Frankly I’m shocked. I would have bet money on that kid a couple of years ago.

He just came in at 22 on the new MLB 100 prospects, which makes me very worried for the future of the game.

I wonder where Christian Javier is in those rankings (or maybe he’s not a prospect anymore, since he’s on the big club’s roster). Still, I wonder how much those rankings consist of people reading clubs’ propaganda and how much they consist of actual qualified eyes looking at the prospects.

When was Whitley accused of meth?

He wasn’t. I think there’s some confusion. He got suspended for failing a drug test for amphetamines, for which he admitted that he had taken something to keep him awake so that he could make the overnight drive home after watching a friend’s game, or something like that. As far as I have ever heard, that’s his only misstep.

That is what I remember too. Fucking irresponsible and defamatory to link him to meth.

It was adderall or some equivalent.

Yes, I believe you’re right. Thanks for the correction.

You irresponsible son of goat! I’m calling my lawyers.

Under performing Mark Appel, if that’s possible. Still young so we can’t write him off yet.
But if you had named our current pitching staff (without Whitley, who hadn’t earned a spot before his injury) in Spring Training 2019 people would have thought you were nuts.

Basically, coming out of this spring, Whitley was not in the top 10 minor league pitchers in the organization.

Whitley was terrible in 2019 and had a major attitude problem. If he ever turns it around, lots of folks will be surprised

Adderall is an amphetamine (sp?).

Yes indeed it is. Combo of 4 amphetamines as a matter of fact.

“Adderall” is methamphetamine.

Adderall is amphetamines and dextroamphetamines. It is NOT meth.

What is Adderall?

Adderall contains a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. Amphetamine and dextroamphetamine are central nervous system stimulants that affect chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control.

Adderall is used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy.

Adderall may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
