101 games into the season, and only one player on the IL.
When will yâall ever learn about the BBGs?
per the broadcast: Urquidy has reported to Corpus; Peacock is âprogressingâ; Pruitt has suffered a âsetback and is not throwingâ
Iâve sacrificed a chicken.
I donât know about âGodsâ- Mr. Kate Upton won my office pool as âthe guy not exercising his dominant forearm enough during Covid.â
Dusty said in postgame that both Pressly and Devo have arm soreness and are day to day.
I have throat soreness from yelling at Devoâs crummy outing on Sunday.
Both have elbow problems, and Dusty is spot on blaming the rush to play games which count.
Biagini to the IL with shoulder soreness. Andre Scrubb (?) called up to take his spot.
At the rate pitchers are getting injured, not just Astros pitchers, there are gonna be multiple .400 hitters this year.
This is all on Manfred.
Absolutely. Especially when you consider the players rejected the ownerâs final take it or leave proposal, and Manfred unilaterally used his power as commissioner to force a 60-game season, regardless.
I think itâs a little more nuanced than that. The players wanted to play, but the only way they wouldnât give up their right to file a grievance â which they also want â was not to accept a deal. So they turned down the deal, in effect saying that they were willing to play under whatever conditions Manfred established.
At least thatâs my understanding of the situation.
Blah, blah, blah. Their arms are not ready for game conditions, and they are getting hurt as a result. Nuance that all you want.
The players wanted to play, but they genuinely didnât like the ownersâ 60-game proposal, either. Thatâs why they wanted to retain their right to file a grievance. Throughout the process, the players felt the owners werenât negotiating in good faith (especially concerning prorated salaries, which was agreed upon in March). The MLBPA offers included significantly longer seasons, and they believed the owners were intentionally stalling to either force them into making more economic concessions or playing a shorter season than they wanted.
I wasnât talking about conditioning, or lack thereof, or rushing into games that count. I was only commenting on the negotiations.
Springer is getting the day off to nurse his knee, sore from slamming into the fence on OD.
Yikes.
With all sincerity I hope heâs ok.
