If the virus indefinitely delays what will unquestionably be a circus centered on aggrieved fans and players from opposing teams hurling invective and worse at my team, this might be a tradeoff worth making. Everybody cool off and go walk in the park

Audiences have a disproportionate degree of sports and entertainment coverage, fueled by social media and their enablers on sports and news talk shows. Everyone can stay at home, reduce people density, and that does save lives and lowers the tonal triggers which get 15 minutes of fame and publicity.

What I read this morning said that catching the virus is not considered a job-related injury, so the club(s) cannot disclose it unless the player (or some authorized party) discloses it first. Of course, when they move the guy to the injury list or whatever it is these days, they might as well be announcing it.
I would say they wouldnât be catching it if they werenât working. Isnât there a separate covid-related injury list? But yeah, unless they stop disclosing âknee discomfortâ itâll be pretty obvious.

Hunter Dozier tested positive for covid 19. He had 4 at bats Monday night. Was Machete catching for all of them? The catchers are really in the hot seat as whatever droplets are expelled from the batter will fall down right to where the catcher is breathing.
They should set up big fans on either side of the plate and alternate which is on depending on right hand or left hand batters. That would direct droplets away from the catcher and HPU.
Thatâs an excellent idea.
Iâd recommend the use of Yankee fans. Weâve learned that heyâre all blow-hards.
