I find it incredibly hard to believe that pitchers wouldn’t know.
I mean, our squealer not only was aware of it but understood the system, so it must’ve been pretty widely known among the pitchers as well as the hitters.

They knew, and they hated it. But they had to shut up and take it until the Astros were exposed. So now they can get back at somebody, even if cheating by one team was only a small part of a much bigger problem.
Can you find one person other than Mike Fiers that has said anything similar to that?
Who hated it? What pitcher is on record saying they were mad their team were stealing signs?
No, but I’m guessing that’s what’s behind all these pitchers bitching about the Astros. They don’t want to rat on their teammates, but now they have a safe target for venting their frustration…
Haaaaaaave you met my friend “doctoring the ball”?
Spleen, come on. Your theories get wilder and wilder.
Yes, but doctoring the ball is an individual activity, not an organized one. And, of course, some pitchers are going to be hypocrites about that.
So there is cheating and there’s cheating but cheating is ok if it’s just you cheating and not ok if you and your fellow teammates are cheating together right?
The mental gymnastics that some go through to decide which cheating is ok and which is not, and which cheating is worse than that other cheating just makes my head hurt
You do realize, don’t you, Mr. Black Helicopter Man, sign-stealing has gone on since the beginning of baseball in every league from Little League on up. Oh yeah, and pitchers benefit when their hitters score lots of runs. Knowing what is coming sometimes helps to score runs.
What crazy theories.
Apologies for the felony threadjack.
Springer scratched before 1st pitch. Assuming it’s the wrist, but nothing official yet.
edit: right wrist discomfort
And Yordan on IL, Taylor Jones called up.
I need to start talking more nonsense, because using this thread for its intended purpose only brings sadness…
The title of the thread may imply sadness to some.
Dusty says Yordan is likely done for the year.
Dammit.
Sadness to follow.
