Aches and Pains 2020

A big man with knee problems is hardly unusual.

He got so big so fast, too. It’s gonna take him a while to grow into himself.

…makes one wonder.

Boooooooooooooooo…

Wonder about what? Did you wonder about Bagwell?

He played over 140 games and had over 500 at bats last year between the majors and minors. I personally don’t think you can take a thing that is happening this season seriously. This was a lost season for every team involved given the circumstances.

I didn’t say it made me wonder.

He doesn’t have a “dangerous hairstyle” does he?

MLB Network’s Heyman reports: “New MLB Covid rule: players who test positive can apply to return to play in 10 days even if they continue to test positive (but still need MLB joint committee OK) and r very likely to be allowed back after 14 days even w/continuing positives. Reasoning: contagiousness dissipates.”

Read where Plesac and Clevinger got their asses handed to them by their teammates on Friday, and at least one, Oliver Perez, threated to opt out if they were allowed to return to the team. Francisco Lindor was particularly critical of them over their selfishness and broken trust.

Recall that their teammate Carrasco just returned having battled leukemia.

Yeah, Lindor called him out specifically as someone who’s trust they violated. Word is it was a pretty testy and pointed players-only meeting.

Love it. Clevinger initially tried to hide his attendance with Plesac.

Here’s a link to his quote before he was busted:

Clevinger is an ass. He puts Bauer to shame.

Exhibit A why I don’t trust a single player that has come out raging about the Astros sign stealing.

Bunch of two-faced fuckwads are happy to throw shade until it gets turned on them.

Plesac is spinning his case, saying that while out he observed all social distancing protocol…no one was ever in danger…he’s a great teammate…the media is making him out to be a bad guy…

Fuck you Zach Plesac. You’re a worm.

I can’t imagine where he came up with the idea to blame the media for this shitty things he did/said.

Something in the water

The one group I will give the benefit of the doubt here is pitchers. All of these sign stealing schemes, both legal and illegal, were designed to tip the balance in favor of the hitter. There was nothing comparable to serve pitchers. Pitchers all over MLB must be deeply upset that their own teammates and management as well as the opposition put in so much work to make their lives harder… and the Astros are the one group that is socially acceptable for them to vent their anger on…
