A Republic, If You Can Keep It

Sorry…WI, not MI. They have him up by 17 points. Still early though.

Also, although Kornacki is bringing me down, NC seems to be getting closer, with a lot left in less rural areas.

I’m more concerned about VA. It was presumed to be in her corner, but it’s not looking good.

Yeah, I think she pulls out Virginia, but still, it doesn’t seem promising for her overall.

Not looking good, but currently it’s a 20k difference. I’m not sure how to see which districts have substantial numbers remaining to count.

I realize that I haven’t read the room but,
I’ve chosen to watch The 1st Inning of Ken Burns’ Baseball on MLBNHD from 8pm-9:30pm. I’ve seen it at least 15 times since it came out in 1994. I watched it with my young daughters in the late ‘90’s, then again with them several more times as they grew older. Because of these memories, and the warm feelings that they illicit, I am choosing this as my early evening path during this Election Day. I will tune in to PBS later as the west coast results come in. I fear what the results may be.

It’s mainly the urban areas, Northern, Richmond and Va Beach area. NYT has a way to see that, if you have access.

Mostly rural, I think. She seriously underperformed Biden in the suburbs, particularly with college educated women.

Man, I sure hope so. She’s sunk without it.

FWIW, CBS News is still projecting Harris wins Virginia. It just will be closer than what Biden did in 2020.

So much for Harris in Ohio.

This is 2020 all over again. Everything early looked like it was going Trump’s way.

Cruz looks to be cruising to victory. Barf.

It looks like neither candidate will win all of the swing states as happened in the last two Presidential elections. Harris looks worse than Biden in Va. and NC (although she still wins Va.), but better than Biden in Pa. Importantly, Harris looks better than Clinton in Michigan and Wisconsin.

It’s going to be close…

Big difference this cycle is how PA counts its votes. No red mirage this year as they counted the mail-in ballots first. It might still slip to tomorrow, but it won’t drag on for a week with Trump trying to stop the count.

270-268 wouldn’t be crazy at this point, with Harris holding the Blue Wall.

We’re watching a basketball game where the shots are all shown to us out of order. Get comfy and steel yourselves for a long night.
