A Republic, If You Can Keep It

Hopefully she’ll decide that she just wants to burn the whole thing down.

“We are closing Congress to avoid transparency” is a hell of a message.

I’m all for giving these clowns fewer days to fuck things up.

They will find her dead in her cell if she does, and maybe even if she doesn’t.

I trust that she’s smart enough to have set up a dead-man’s switch with a lawyer somewhere.

The House Oversight Committee has just voted unanimously to subpoena Ghislain Maxwell.

At the same time, Speaker Johnson has gaveled closed the House in an effort to stem the Epstein bleeding.

Any updates from the Texas Legislature “Special Session”?

Have they gerrymandered things all to hell yet?

I think Congressional districts are going to be drawn to correspond to Astros blackout areas. Parts of Arkansas and Louisiana are now voting in Texas.

Things are already so gerrymandered that it’s hard to imagine that any change won’t actually be to their detriment.

Does Hudson get to vote 12 hours before everyone else?

yes, but his vote only counts 1/2.

He’s half the man he used to be.

Trump has made ones of deals during his “90 deals in 90 days” push…that is about 100 days old now. One of them is with Japan, announced yesterday.

In a genius move, he agreed to a 15% reciprocal tariff on cars, but imposed a 50% tariff on steel imports from Japan. Which means that making cars in the U.S. just got a lot more expensive and exporting them to Japan exponentially so.

The shart of the deal.

New photos have been reported on CNN showing Epstein:

  • at Trump’s 1993 wedding to Marla Maples
  • with Trump at the opening of the Harley-Davidson Cafe in New York a few months earlier
  • with Trump and Melania at a 1999 Victoria’s Secret event.

When CNN spoke to Trump to ask about the photos, he yelled “are you kidding me?!” and hung up.

The then CEO of Victoria’s Secret - Les Wexner - also was a regular on Epstein’s island.

There’s a shadow hanging over me.

The thing about the Epstein list is that we do not need to see it; we just need to believe the women who have come forward and told of what happened to them, where and by whom.

WSJ says Trump is absolutely on the list. A lot.
Here a Trump, there a Trump, everywhere a Trump Trump…

I can’t access that article, but maybe you, or someone else can help me with the timeline. Did the extensive search for his name in the files (by all the FBI officials who surely had better things to do) occur prior to Bondi’s phase 1 release?

Either way screams incompetence. Either you created this expectation after knowing he was in it, or why the fuck did you create an expectation without previously vetting his involvement. Also, having shitloads of people party to the document search is really stupid as it makes a secret coverup virtually impossible.

You seem surprised.

Giving thousands of people access to the files and telling them to do one thing - look for Trump - screams fear and desperation. Nothing is ever thought through with these people, but when Trump is panicked, the decision-making somehow gets significantly worse.
