…and if they have one they don’t even differentiate between an administrative warrant and a judicial one (this has been caught on tape). And about .5% of Americans would know the difference.
Invisible paper, removable police insignia, I highly doubt they’re required to wear body cams…America, Fuck Yeah
I don’t think they’re prepared or competent enough to deal with the protests coming their way. I could be wrong, but I sure hope not. Congress has TACO Don’s stubby dick firmly in their mouth and once the courts finally finish whimpering away, we the people are all that’s left.
Video’s at the link, but if you want to take a moment to laugh at ICE, this is it:
Compton, CA: A masked, heavily-armed man wearing body armor jumped out of a SUV today to kidnap a local resident.
He forgot to put the vehicle in park, causing it to roll down the street damaging other cars. He jumped in the vehicle (which had no plates) and drove off without identifying himself.
As funny as this is, it does belie the underlying issue: masked and ID-less ICE agents feel they are above the law and/or anyone can dress like an ICE agent and abduct anyone they like in broad daylight.
Yep. If ever these “arrests” see the inside of a courtroom, I’d expect a barely-competent lawyer could get most of them dismissed for multiple technical violations in the process.
Speaking of ID in Texas…it used to be so simple: you go early in the morning, wait in line, and you get your License/ID.
Now you have to book an appointment via their totally functional website, if you’re lucky there may be a spot for you at a DPS office within 100 miles within 5 months. The “Real ID” requirements make it even worse.
I lost my passport too, so I’m hoping the Federal process is a bit easier. [laughs in “fuck”]
There’s a DPS a few miles from my house. Last year I had to renew, scheduled an appointment on the day and time of my choosing about a week out. Walked in at my appointment time and was out within 20 minutes. From leaving my driveway to back to my driveway was about 30 minutes. It was far, far superior to the old method where you showed up at 7:00 am, waited three hours to get a number, then waited another four or five hours to get to the window. Everyone’s mileage may vary, however.
