A Republic, If You Can Keep It

Thankfully, Wall Street seems to have learned the lesson and is not shitting itself into oblivion today.

…yet.

You mean, they still haven’t learned their lesson. Namely, Trump will inevitably fuck up the economy, the markets will drop, and no amount of wishing it away will change things.

Oh, absolutely this will happen. But Wall Street was taking every tweet as a real thing, only to have to back track a few days later when it turned out to be impossible, or Trump simply caved.

There will be a lot less fraud, waste and abuse if Trump is no longer able to manipulate the market with a brain fart.

One of the most amazing things about Trump is that, despite all his pomp and ego, he is tragically low rent.

I would send that back at a cafeteria

You can afford a lot of decent meals with a $2 trillion tax cut.

Read one story of a guy who bought up tons of Trump coin just for a shot at this ā€œunforgettable nightā€. He rented a tux and a Lamborghini to get to the event. He was…disappointed. So much so he had his dad pick him up afterwards and go through the drive through at McDonalds. That’s how bad the food was, allegedly.

On a side note…it’s been my experience that at any large-scale banquet type of event the food is mediocre, at best, no matter how expensive or swanky the event is. Food at large hotels is pretty ā€œblahā€.

Agreed on banquet food. The problem with Trump venues is that the regular, a la carte food is dogshit to start with.

Never been to a Trump event, but I’ve had a drink at the bar at the Trump hotel in Washington. It wasn’t a bad cocktail, but certainly not memorable or anything.

This is why no due process for ā€œillegalsā€ means no due process for anyone.

To be honest, that plate doesn’t look much different from what I’ve seen from expensive restaurants. The plating is lazy to be sure, but the portion size is about right.

I think the point here is that Trump got crypto bros to stuff hundreds of millions of dollars into his pockets and all they got out of it was an average plate dinner.

I’m almost not mad about it. Crypto bros have to be some of the easiest marks out there and ripping them off is the closest thing to a public service that Trump has done in his entire life.

It looks far worse that’s what I get at my favorite restaurants. Still, the main complaint I’ve read isn’t the portion size or presentation, it’s that the food tasted terrible. Like something from Golden Corral.

Well, at least it beats Applebee’s.

Portion size? Sure. But no sear, ugly gravy, wilted vegetables - a sous would be fired for sending that out.
