A Republic, If You Can Keep It

I had prostate cancer treatment a few years ago. I was on a cusp–the doctors told me it was treatable, but that treatment wasn’t necessary yet, and that if I were 10 years older they wouldn’t recommend treatment at all. I had the treatment because I didn’t want to go through annual biopsies. It’s completely possible that Biden had tested high on the PSAs but that treatment wasn’t really necessary, and that then things changed.

Sounds like you went the crazy route and discussed your condition and treatment options with a licensed physician instead of following advice you found on Tik Tok and QAnon. Communist.

Anecdotally, two of us returning to Houston today from London, one on BA and one on UA, and both flights were half empty. By comparison, both flights going over were full to the max.

Maybe it’s a quirk; maybe people are self-deporting by the plane load.

This is just fucking nuts.

Everybody knows that habeas corpus is the corpse you’re left with when you shoot your dog Habeas.

Everybody knows that habeus corpus is a constitutionally enshrined legal principle, but what Kristi Noem presupposes is…maybe it isn’t?

Didn’t understand why people cared enough about tapper’s pointless book to bother to despise tapper for writing it.

Watched the daily show (which ive only seen a handfull of times) and they did a bit mocking tapper. The amount of effort cnn has put into promoting the book is ridiculous, and it was easy for stewart to ridicule the network and its “journalist.” Now i get it.

It seems that this is now done.

Part of me really wishes Stewart had gone the Al Franken route and gotten into politics.

How much money and time will it take to outfit it up to AF1 standards?

And find all of the bugs?

If I understand this correctly, because the Trump administration doesn’t want anyone doing to them what the right wing does to everyone else using that one fuckstain judge in Amarillo(?), they are requiring federal plaintiffs to put up some form of security. So “liberty and justice for all” is gone as a result of this bill.

I don’t think Jordan was acting when he looked completely non-plussed by Neguse’s point. Jordan is talking about immigration cases, but the bill is drafted so incompetently that it applies to every person and every case in front of a federal judge retroactively.

There are going to be a lot of rich, white campaign donors who are pissed off when they find that they now have to stump up some cash to continue their pet federal court crusades against otherness.

Too much and too long. That’s the other shoe that will drop, in that they will announce the obvious and the plane will be mothballed until Trump leaves office.

It’s going to cost him a bunch to install the hidden compartments in the baggage area to hold the top secret documents that he steals.

What makes you think they’re going to make any changes to the plane?

Rumor is about three years at a cost of over $300MM. Longer and more expensive than to complete the pair of planes that Boeing is currently working on.

Sounds about right.

I don’t mind them rushing it and skipping all the security and defense features. Anything for the president!
