A Republic, If You Can Keep It

The Pope ditched a meeting with JD Vance, instead sending a cardinal to explain compassion and empathy to the VP.

It’s somewhat comforting to know that the best day of Vance’s life was election night 2024, and every day thereafter is going to be slightly worse than the one before.

The two did meet (briefly):

Van Hollen did the full Ginsberg this morning. This answer to a question on Fox News - that was loaded with the weight of a black hole - was masterful.

Hegseth shared attack plans in another Signal chat group that included his wife, his brother and his personal lawyer.

I’ve driven to and around Middletown at least two dozen times since living up here. They may have the “home of VP JD Vance” signs out at the city limits, but I ain’t met one person yet who’s a fan of his.

What those folks think of him is irrelevant. What matters is what he’ll do when Trump kicks the bucket.

I’ve been concerned about that since he was announced as Trump’s running mate. Since before, even.

As you do

I’d say the best day of his life was the day he met Peter Thiel

I don’t understand why Thiel would have anything to do with a bottom-feeder like Vance.

Why do any of those tech types do what they do? Because they can?

Yeah, it’s a mystery. They’ve done great under the existing regime, so by all means trade that in for a bunch of crazy, unpredictable motherfuckers.

I can only think that Thiel saw him for what he is: an empty vessel desperate for an identity. Someone he could puppet master into all the places that Thiel himself couldn’t go because he’s an instantly dislikable piece of shit.

This is complete nonsense coming from someone with six bankruptcies and 34 felony business fraud convictions…

…but whenever Trump hits the caps lock to pump himself it’s because he’s in possession of some news that’s bad for him.

Those Christians who felt compelled to vote for DJT as a matter of religious principle should be forced to read both of those posts from today, Easter Sunday, and reconcile them with the teachings of Jesus.

Sadly, I think the nuance of Christ’s teachings has gone straight over their heads.

Most Christians today have no use for the teachings of Jesus. He cramps their lifestyle.

I’m fairly certain, and not joking, that quite soon, it will be openly admitted by these fucknuts that the New Testament is “woke” and not to be taken as seriously as the Old Testament. It’s always been in the background with all the rattlesnakes and Westboro Baptist Chuch inhumanity. But just like Nazi-ism, what was once considered behind us is now new again in the name of MAGA. Enjoy.
