In 2023, the coal mining industry employed 45k people. That’s all. An entire industry that can fit into MMP.

There are plenty of people here that think coal is just going to come roaring back. It’s incredibly sad in such a poor State.
Apparently, the only two countries who weren’t hit with a tariff are Russia and North Korea.
But, of course, Klendathu gets a pass like always.
Fucking Narnians have been screwing us for decades.
Four Republican Senators joined with all the Democrats to vote down approval of the Canadian tariffs. The four were McConnell, Collins, Paul and Murkowski. Couple this with the new mom rebellion in the House, and the cracks are already starting to appear.
It’s worth remembering that Trump has no authority to impose tariffs on anyone, and it is only able to do this due to the acquiescence of Congressional Republicans; who are all in deep, deep electoral peril as a result of Trump’s actions.
Also, this:
After today’s Wall Street carnage, the cracks are only going to get bigger. Making rich people poorer is never a good strategy. Trying to force out Musk is going to cause a huge rift and potentially create a powerful (rich) enemy.
And just like that, we’re at war with Europe. Our 330 million consumers vs. their 450 million consumers.
The Constitutional authority to impose tariffs or regulate any international trade rests solely with Congress. They have historically authorized the President to adjust tariff rates, but any control he has is granted at the discretion of Congress. Of course, we’ve seen 1) Congress has completely abdicated its Constitutional role in recent decades, and 2) they are simps to Trump. They will go along with whatever he tells them.
I believe the president’s authority to adjust tariff’s is only in the event of a national emergency, which is why Trump has been inventing out of thin air the “national emergency” of fentanyl from Canada, which simply is not a thing.
It’s a stupid allowance anyway, as if the imposition of tariffs cannot wait until a Monday morning. Like recess appointments, it’s a loophole that exists only to be abused.
Dow opens down over 1,000 points.
Tesla is up though, so there’s that…
What if it wasn’t two days but two minutes?

Going easy on Jupiter as usual.
Tesla is doing better than Amazon or Meta, both of which are down over 7% this morning.
Suck on that you arrogant shitstains.
Trump would befriend Mordor.
He already has a house there. Mordor-lago.
