8/31/24 KC @ HOU

Might get to see Yuli tomorrow.

Gamel has 564 strikeouts in 2284 career plate appearances. Now I ainā€™t got much of a head fer cipherinā€™ā€¦

Yuli?

Royals on the corners, one out

In May I would have settled for finishing ahead of the ChiSox.

Yuli. And Pham. I wonder when Phamā€™s fantasy draft is scheduled.

and Robbie Grossman

So 25% of the time. That still seems like a lot. For reference, Kyle Tucker is 16%

Iā€™m now more confused. Did I miss a trade?

Whoā€™s Kyle Tucker?

For Yuli? Sounds like it.

Yes. In ex-Astros thread. Yuli to KC.

From Braves for cash.

I did miss that. Good pickup for KC. I feel like Yuli will be able to hit when heā€™s 50

For reference, Tucker has a career WAR of 22 in two fewer seasons than Gamel. In other words, Tucker is a very good borderline great player, and Gamel is just a guy. And thatā€™s my point, a very, very average (at best) major leaguer has proven to be a huge upgrade.

I agree completely with that. I was just commenting that I donā€™t see him as a contact type of hitter.

Apparently Brown does.

Just one of the many reasons Iā€™m not the GM, Iā€™m sure.

I wouldnā€™t be terribly upset if you were, but Iā€™ll take Brown
