Joe punches Ayman’s ticket with drone strike in Afghanistan.
Quite a contrast to TFG who hosted a Saudi-backed golf event as his wife’s resting place and claimed no one really got to the bottom of 9/11.
Joe may be old, but he didn’t forget this motherfucker. Zawahiri probably thought he was in the clear after Trump’s four years of Saudi gorvelling.
Joe Biden put his lights out.
That’s why I say Ayman, nice shot!
Another austere religious scholar bites the dust.
While I appreciate this Filter shout out (Filter? Yeah?) I do feel compelled by my own “liking” to shout out to Virgil or whomever it was said “To revel over a slain foe is no piety.”
This shit is ridiculous. A missile that, at the point of impact, sprouts knives to kill only the intended target. It’s literally surgical.
Pretty astounding. A person on another board I follow wrote "Russia can’t hit the side of a building, we can take out a single person - with a missile sword - without having a single one of our people within a hundred miles"
It is said to be equivalent to putting the target in a blender.
New York Times reporting that Zawahiri was killed at the house of a top aide to Sirajuddin Hakani, a Taliban official who also, coincidentally, is a New York Times contributor.
I saw on my social media that Biden’s rampant “wokeness” was responsible for the demise of the Choco Taco. Now, I see that the Choco Taco is back!
Thanks, Joe!
Now he just needs to solve Cracker Barrel’s wokeness problem:
Trumpers are taking their anti-choice position to a new arena.
I thought I knew what a “choco taco” was. Boy was I wrong.
Quite a split screen today, with 45 pleading the 5th and 46 signing the PACT Act.
Oh, and…
Here is why I’ve been a Biden guy for a long time: He knows what he’s doing.
Biden caught a lot of shit from the left for sacrificing rail workers sick days to get the debt ceiling deal with McCarthy. Biden, as usual, was playing the long game., and got it all done.
He’s been a gaffe factory since (at least) his 30s, and I haven’t seen that get better or worse over the years and I chuckle at changing mores when I think that Biden’s first run at the Whitehouse was cut short by a college plagiarism scandal. But, like most areas of human endeavor, experience matters in governance, and almost nobody has more of it than Joe. Look at the U.S. economy vs Europe’s, or the U.K.'s and see that basic, steady stewardship pays off. The U.S. economy is “reshoring” very quickly which bodes well for prosperity going forward. NATO, an endangered alliance just a few years ago, is stronger than ever and Vladimir Putin, a malignant actor on the world stage, is weaker than ever.
Biden’s goofy, a little long in the tooth, and by no means gets everything right, but he knows how the Federal government works in law and influence better than perhaps anyone else alive.
Most probably know this but it bears repeating: Biden has a serious stammer. I have a close family member that lives with the same thing, and it’s pretty miraculous that Biden can speak as well as he can. Some of his verbal gaffes are possibly due to age, others due to general goofiness, but when I watch a lot of his supposed gaffes what I usually see is someone with a very serious speech impediment struggling to use their training to get the proper words out correctly.
I will hold my hand up as one who did not grasp Biden’s incredible talent for politics. He plays the long game on everything, and does it quietly; which is likely part of the reason for his success.
It’s easier to get deals done if your counterparts know that you won’t sprint to the nearest camera to spike the ball. In this regard, he is the polar opposite of the current GOP, which is all about the instant publicity without consideration of the consequences (or reality).
As it is now clear, he was the best person to take up a shovel to start cleaning up the shit of his predecessor. He is the hero we need right now, but not the one we deserve.
His grandchild in Arkansas could use some of that heroism.
