The Angels, for whatever reason, seem to draft out of desperation. Just take the guy you can promote the fastest, upside be damned. This is more of a case where the Astrosâ pitching staff is depleted and they have to look at the minors and say âwhoâs the best bet to get major league outs right now?ââand if the answer is the new draftee in AA, so be it.

I hear they can use composite peg legs in rookie ball but not above that level. After that they have to be one piece of wood.

He might not want to settle for a wooden leg. Just saying. The prosthetic industry has come a long way in the last 85 years. He might want something robotic with hydraulics and stuff like flubber.
