That’s what you get for going for two earlier when you didn’t need to.
Andrews has been an unmitigated disaster today.
I enjoyed this game.
It’s been a forgettable one.
How do you not make that catch?
Both of those QBs are freaking awesome.
This was a very entertaining game. Congrats to both teams; they really gave their best.
Because you’re running away from it, it’s cold as hell, and that ball is slippery.
Shame for that game to end that way.
Always easier to be the receiver than the defender in conditions like that
Andrews’ drop wasn’t as crucial but it gave me flashbacks to Jackie Smith dropping a pass in the endzone that would have won Super Bowl XIII for the Cowboys.
Fuck the Ravens.
Smith’s was certainly more dramatic, but it wasn’t like it was at the end of the game or would have given the Cowboys the lead. It was in the 3Q and would have only potentially tied the game. A lot happened after that drop. I always felt Smith sorta got a raw deal on that one.
Definitely a raw deal.
Staubach has repeatedly blamed himself for taking too much off that pass instead of having a little zip.
And as you said that play happened in the third quarter.
On third down. And the Cowboys got points. Then gave up two more touchdowns in the 4Q. That loss wasn’t on Smith.
Y’all’s memories are better than mine. Back then (pre Jerry Jones) I actually pulled for the Cowboys. I’ve always hated the Steelers.
My mother was a Cowboys fan, probably because my Dad was a Baltimore Colts fan (he bore an uncanny resemblance to Johnny Unitas, which my mother hated). I was a Miami Dolphins fan, then later a Bucs fan. I’ve always hated both the Cowboys and Steelers. And the Colts, for that matter.
The main reason I wanted the Cowboys to win was because I hated the Steelers for beating the Oilers. That much I remember.
Did your family otherwise get along?

Did your family otherwise get along?
As much as any, I suppose. My mother was very…excitable, shall we say…when it came to watching football. If were up to her, half the players would have been dead by halftime.
Thank goodness she didn’t pass that on
