I can’t imagine being between him and the goal line. It’s terrifying.

At his age? There never has been.
Since we’re talking about penalties we hate…I’ve never liked that defensive holding is 5 yards and an automatic first down. It seems incongruent that a minor penalty should result in an automatic first down.

I hate the ex-refs the booth reach out to when there is a penalty and always confirm bad calls.
Fwiw, at least a couple of times today they’ve called on-the-field calls incorrect.
The NFL came out today and said the call against the Texans were correct because you always call it if you think there may have been penalty, even if you didn’t really see one. Yeah, sure.

Yeah that was a huge pile of horseshit from the head of officiating.
The rest of the football world knows better.
Yesterday was a clownfest, but the opportunity to challenge those calls might have ameliorated the situation. Today the TV refs actually came out and said “that call was wrong”.
