Well damn.
One of the few modern dojers I don’t despise.

Damn, damn, damn.
I guess I have to watch the start of G1
Damn, man, that’s too young. I really liked that guy. He and Reggie Smith are the only Dodgers I really ever liked. Once back in the mid 90s i was in Merida, a cab driver drove me to the airport and on the way pointed out Fernando’s house. I was nice, big but not garish.
A 20-year old rookie tossing eight straight 9-inning complete games to start the season. Man has the game changed.
Yeah, and look at him now. That kind of workload is irresponsible.
Oh? Innings pitched killed him? No wonder there is a pitch count.
It’s surprising people are allowed to pitch at all.
Lasorda did overwork him. But also, Fernando wasn’t the kind of guy to say no mas.
Apparently, according to the story on the radio I heard today, he was a prolific beer drinker. The Dodger trainers were trying everything they could think of to help him lose weight but nothing worked. Then he told them he drank a case of beer in the locker room every night after the game and the mystery was solved.
They didn’t call him “El Toro” for nothin
Is your sarc-o-meter out of batteries again?
It’s steam powered. Duh.
Nope. If you read the rest of my post, you’ll know it was not.
USF Basketball Coach Amir Abdul-Rahim. Only 43. He was a real up and comer in college basketball.
That’s tragic and terrifying.

Well, that sucks.
That sucks very much,
Jeebus, that’s a tough one. What a musician; there were few in the rock era like him. Tony Levin is his only real contemporary on bass.
The Dead documentary on Amazon is great btw, Phil is pretty prominent.
I have an older brother who is a real Deadhead, disappeared in the 70s and 80s to follow them around, moved to the Bay Area around 82 as a base to see shows. I lived with him there in 86 for a bit, went to see Garcia at The Stone but never saw the Dead.
Just a box of rain, wind and water
Believe it if you need it
If you don’t, just pass it on
Sun and shower, wind and rain
In and out the window
Like a moth before a flame
And it’s just a box of rain
I don’t know who put it there
Believe it if you need it
Or leave it if you dare
And it’s just a box of rain
Or a ribbon for your hair
Such a long, long time to be gone
And a short time to be there
