FYI Astros now have the largest division lead in MLB.
Mushinsky started his rehab assignment with Sugar Land yesterday. Odds on whether he stays there when he is ready to be activated? I can’t see them swapping Martinez out after the job he has done. Maybe Abreu, but my bet is on Parker being parked at AAA.
In case you missed the news, Jose Siri shipped to Sugar Land (to make room for Yordan).
Brandon Bielak called up as the extra man for the DH.
Parker Mushinksi activated off IL (Pressly to paternity leave)
It’s a warm and bright Houston morn
and another little Pressley child is born

Mushinski back to being a Space Cowboy as Pressly gets activated.
Picked a very nice time to step things up…

Fake News. Ohtani and Judge are not on either list.
Jake Meyers over last 60 PAs: 26 whiffs versus 8 hits.
He looked awful today.
That last at bat was the at bat of a guy who has simply given up.
He did not have a good, confident swing all day.
Yeah, I’m concerned about him. He has the tools to be enticing going forward, but if we are going to make the stretch run with he and Chaz as a platoon in center, we MUST have another bat. Period.
I think he is still hurting and unwilling to admit it publicly.
If we get Bell, I’d rather bring Siri back up for his defense.
For sure if Meyers doesn’t snap out of his slump soon. I really like Siri - his Marisnick-like defense and his enthusiasm which fires up his teammates.
Ditto.
