2022 roster

Even more amazing if he knows pitchers are often coached not to throw two changeups in a row.

Somewhere Jomboy is cooking up another conspiracy theory.

He is becoming a very good hitter and not merely a power hitter.

Yes. The Astros have figured out a way to guess what the next pitch a pitcher is going to throw and swing accordingly. How dare they study up on opposing pitchers ahead of time. Cheaters.

Not only what pitch but also where. They are cheating geniuses, I tells ya.

Now what, Mr. Click?

That’s a pretty good way to show you’re ready.

Is he on the 40-man or would there need to be a corresponding move to activate him?

Corresponding move needed. 60 day IL guys don’t count toward the 40 man roster but do once activated.

He is not on the 40-man, or at least doesn’t count towards the 40, so yeah, some other move would have to happen.

Thanks. I’m never sure about roster details.

An example being this which was just announced…

Assuming there are no other 60 day DL possibilities (there haven’t been any recent updates on the health of Blake Taylor or Parker Mushinski so can’t be certain), the recently-claimed-off-waivers outfielder Dillon Thomas is seemingly the likely choice to be DFA’d to free up a roster spot for Jake.

He was hitting .180something shortly before that.

From an on the field standpoint it would also seem that there’s gonna be a 3 man competition for CF.

Encouraging if they think Jake is up to that.

Maybe he’s putting it all together at just the right time?

Those both seemed like the logical moves, but Chas better start hitting or hope that Jake doesn’t hit if he wants to keep his spot. If Jake is the regular starter, Siri’s speed and defense are much more valuable from the bench than Chas’s.

Siri has the speed and defense, Chas has the bat against LHP.

You trekkies need to work on some sort of vulcan mind meld.
