Tommy Boggs. MLB pitcher for the Rangers and Braves. He was the #2 overall draft choice in 1974 and is a guy who was connected to my life and to Mark’s. He founded SLAM baseball here, and his most recent endeavor was as highly successful head baseball coach at Concordia University in Austin.
Throat cancer and other complications. He died about an hour ago.

Concordia previously lost head baseball coach James Keller to ALS. He also was connected to my life and Mark’s through his younger brother John. Maybe I am the bad luck?
I’ve been bad luck at World Series games for the Astros.
I refuse to go to a WS where the Astros can be eliminated again. 3 times is more than enough.
