This is an astonishing factoid.
This was only for the ALCS, but upon further review, they ended up with the same batting average. Bregman slashed .143/.200.143. Gurriel managed .143/.333/.143. Yuli did manage 5 walks while striking out twice, while Bregman mustered 1 walk while striking out 5 times, though there were a couple of spots I wished Yuli had struck out. Neither had an extra base hit or an RBI. It’s a miracle you can win at all when those are two of your “thumpers” in the middle of the order.
