Yankees @ Astros September 3, 2025

And it’s quickly 1-0 Yankees

Walker day off. Diaz C, Caratini 1B

They’re not showing much interest in scoring runs. Again.

A 1-0 lead seems insurmountable for this Astros team.

Sure wish the Astros could use the Crawford boxes sometimes

He’s at the bar drinking gin. But bedtime is calling.

God this team sucks dick on ice.

I wonder if Walker stops either of the 2B to right field. Caratini froze on both. Actually, one was the single prior to the homer.

Hey Siri, will this team ever play a competitive game again?

Swing the bat!

He’s been away for a while. He’ll settle in soon.

Correa, Urias, and Pena watched several called strikes in their Ks

It’s starting to feel like any 5+ run “outburst” this offense puts out isn’t a sign of things to come, but rather a form of baseball terminal lucidity.

The Astros see the fewest pitches per at bat (3.74). Chandler Rome had a recent article on how the team is searching for a collective change in approach and Carlos is quoted extensively in the piece. I wonder if he is trying too hard to temper the aggressive approach.

A hit! Yainer 2B!
