That is a very kind description. It was 2 inches above the box, which is a few inches above what should be Altuve’s zone to begin with.

I’ve said this too many times but that’s about as bad a strike call as you’ll see

Ted Barrett is very tall. He clearly has zero idea where the top of Altuve’s strike zone is, and doesn’t give fuck one about getting it right.

I still can’t believe Dusty used Greinke as a PH and was successful.

Urquidy warming in the pen.

Changed Altuve’s whole AB

Why? He actually hit the ball decent both times last night.

Brantley. Carved. Up.

Jesus Christ, stop acting like pitches right down the middle are some revelation.

I don’t know what Brantley was waiting for, but the 1 strike pitch was a left hander’s wet dream and he fucking took it.

A foot above the plate to boot

What in the name of Dave Kingman was that, Uncle Mike

He watched Altuve’s AB. He knew what that call was going to be.

They can take only one unproductive guy and hit him seventh.

If we get back to Houston I wouldn’t mind seeing him DH if Yordan doesn’t pull his head out of his ass.

Brantley was hitting the ball so well the first two games in Houston.

Bottom 4

Urquidy pitching

d’Arnaud – ball high 1-0, swing and miss 1-1, FB called strike 1-2, grounds up the middle for leadoff single.
