World Series Game 4: Astros at Phillies

One of these is not like the other. I’d want to see Hensley hitting.

You don’t. I’m simply saying saying if disaster strikes and Vazquez has to enter the game, it’s not the end of the world.

You saw him two days ago.

I can’t imagine why…

If Mancini/Diaz/Dubon see any more ABs this postseason, that might very well signal the literal end of the world.

At this point, for me, either Hensley DH’s, Dubon’s in LF with Yordan at DH or Vazquez DH’s and you pinch hit for the pitcher’s spot if you have to remove Maldonado for any reason.

Dubon hasn’t had an at bat this postseason. Not sure why he’s lumped in with the two guys that are hitting a combined 1/40 or so.

Has Dubon had a hit this postseason??? I DON’T THINK SO.

I figure if Dubon is hitting then the Astros are in an undesirable situation (better options used up, or a blown 9th inning lead where he came in as a defensive replacement).

My nickname for Dubon is obviously Duby and just now I realized to my horror that it rhymes with Truby.

Dubon isn’t my preference, but if my options are Mancini or Diaz or giving him a shot right now, I will. Hensley or Vazquez are my preferred options.

I’d rather go with the ones that have seen the pitches.

To each their own. We shall see what Dusty decides for tonight’s game.

I prefer Hensley as well but would be ok with Mancini. Just have a hard time giving Diaz another shot after his last few starts. Hopefully Dusty makes the right call tonight.

Incredible facts and stats about the Astros’ Game 4 no-hitter

Houston, led by Javier, Héctor Neris and Pressly, combined to no-hit the Yankees on June 25……

+++++++

….Javier and Pressly are the first pitchers to be part of two combined no-nos in a career, let alone a season – and they did it by starting and finishing the same two no-hitters.

There’s more, one record that could be broken -

an active streak entering Game 5 – something to keep an eye on as this series continues.

Of course I wish Mancini the best if he plays but after seeing three straight swings at three pitches in a row that were at least a foot outside, I’d rather see Hensley get the next start.

Hensley at DH tonight.

Hell yes!!!
