I’m more of a rum or scotch guy, but there are times when bourbon is indicated. Woodford or Makers works for me. I get a little spendy on the rum, but not as picky with the bourbon.

Since you’re a rum fan, and I have no idea how you feel about rye whiskey, give Basil Hayden’s dark rye a try (has a bit of port in it so it has some that rum sweetness)
