Gouda cheese is the best cheese.

I thought we had a cheese pun thread in yesteryears. I’ve slept since then, so I may not remember jack correctly.

Gorgonzola is the greatest cheese. In the world. Gouda is pretty gooda though.

Husband and son brought some t-bones home last night. I seared them on the stove and finished them in the oven, basted with a butter infused with garlic, tarragon, paprika, a dash of lemon juice, and a little deli mustard. I really think this crust is pretty good, considering that my cast-iron skillets are still packed in a box.

I really like the combination of butter and a little brown or Dijon mustard as a base for a meat glaze or sauce. It adds a welcome umami quality.
