Twins at Astros, 6/30/26

Burrows has walked 2 and hit 1 mixed in with the hits to make it 3-0, Twins still batting in the first with two out

Burrows doing Burrows things.

With Javier returning, this should be Burrows’ last start in the majors for a while.

So either Dana Brown is a good judge of talent and has just been unlucky here, or he’s a poor judge of talent who got very lucky in Atlanta. Or some of both, I suppose, but that’s boring.

After a scoreless second and third his ERA is back down to 5.60

Sometimes you need to have the guys at the bottom of the order contribute.

Altuve with two outs and the bases juiced.

Works the count full.

Called strike, challenged, overturned. Altuve walks. Run scores.

Alvarez with the same 2 out bases juiced situation.

Yordan!!!

Wow.

What a take and challenge and what a bomb.

Love it when batters can challenge.

Like I said, Burrows will stop the bleeding until the bottom of this lineup can start a rally.

Kudos to Altuve for not hacking at slop to push that run across with his walk and keep the inning going.

Yordan’s ball damn near hit the rafters.

The best part by far was the bullpen losing their minds. They were jumping around like a bunch of fellows from Kansas City of non-traditional sexual orientation.
