Mets trade David Robertson to Miami. Baseball is a crazy game.

JV wasn’t offered the amount of money from Houston that the steM offered him but I’m sure he wouldn’t have had to exactly “rough it” and eat off the McDonald’s dollar menu had he have stayed in Houston to try to win another title with his teammates and stay with the organization that resurrected his career twice. Then show up in Arlington? I may be taking it the wrong way but I would not be pleased with JV if he made that decision.
He left because the Mets gave him more money, and that’s fine. He’s not a free agent. He doesn’t get to make the terms of a trade, he just has to agree to it. He’s supposed to not go to a contending team because…he’ll have to pitch against his old team and that should fill him with guilt? He’s supposed to harbor the same hate for the Rangers as Astros fans? The Mexican food is worse in Arlington? Why would he not want to go to the Rangers if they want him?

Bottom line, he could have took the Astros offer and stayed. I do not know what Crane offered but I promise you it wasn’t insulting. Greed and arrogance got the best of him. If he wants to pitch for the Arlington mouth breathers, he can do so. If he does, I hope Houston shells his ass every time he pitches.
But is that reason to keep pitching for the Mets? I mean, we have to be talkin’ 'bout some terrible fucking Mexican food…ten times more terrible than Pancho’s…
