Leon isn’t ready in my opinion but I do think some AAA at bats wouldn’t hurt Myers at all.
I would not know re Leon. I have not seen him play. I think Meyers still is hurt.

Siri had just 4 or 5 fewer AAA HRs than Leon in many fewer ABs. With .300 BA.
Nothing about Leon’s numbers scream ‘you gotta get him up here.’.

My idea is bring him up and hit him 8th or 9th in 40-45 of those games.
Make sure he gets 129 ABs or less. The more he walks, sacrifices, SF he gets the more he can play.
He keeps rookie eligibility and will likely start next year in top 100 lists if he does a solid job.
The experience helps him potentially win ROY next year ( and a draft pick for Astros) and maybe lightning in a bottle for the Astros the next 2 months and playoffs.
This is feasible because the division and playoff spot is all but sewn up.
Click knows what he’s doing, but if it had been my decision I might have gone with Siri and his unpredictable upside and excellent defense over Jake given Jake’s uninspiring second audition for the role.

Yeah, I think he may be an example of a guy whose progress could be retarded by sending him up too early. If they’re not really certain that he can cut it, I’d be surprised if they burned an option year on an experiment. Injuries could change that, obviously.
