Peña doesn’t have the plate discipline at this point in his career to lead off. Either bat him second in front of Yordan so he sees more fastballs, or bat him fifth until Brantley gets back.
Did Pena lose his arm at some point during the off season? His relay throws have been putrid tonight.

That makes absolutely zero sense.
I don’t care that he won a World Series last year, Dusty Baker is not a good strategic manager.
With all the injuries the team needs the bullpen to be invincible, and they need to play great defense, and they need not to do stupid shit on the basepaths. None of that happened tonight. You’d like to think three runs against the Tigers would be enough.
