Yordan is under contract for another five seasons and we have no idea what the Astros’ roster, payroll, competitiveness, or anything else will look like by then. Zero reason to draw any link between the two situations.
Yordan is already the 1B face of the franchise to Altuve’s 1A. By the time Yordan’s contract is up, he’ll be The Man. Only if his hitting is falling off a cliff will they not keep him around.
- Wait and see what they do.
I highly doubt the Astros trade Bregman before the season, and they would only entertain offers at the trade deadline if the team is out of contention. They will do the same thing they did with Springer and Correa before him unless they are blown away in a trade.
If they traded anyone to create financial flexibility, it would likely include attaching prospects or paying down some of the money owed to get out of contracts like the ones given to Lance McCullers Jr, Rafael Montero and possibly Jose Abreu.
I quit reading after 1 and 2, both of which are fucking stupid and wrong and not representative of any portion of the fan base I’m familiar with.
That’s because you, I and the majority if not totality of this board don’t fit those descriptions.
Thanks for sharing the article Joe. I tried to describe the very real and often warring factions of the Astros fan base that I encounter almost daily.
If this is a place of group three people, that would be a very welcome spot.
It is a shame chuck did not read the group three perspective. That is where I am and I suspect where he is.
I couldn’t even read the first one because of that glaring background color. Holy shit, my eyes couldn’t even focus.
I’m sorry Craig. Please tell me what I should fix. I made a change. Do you like it better?
I went and looked right before you posted that you changed the color and I was like “I must have super vision!” as a squinted at my cell phone screen looking to see what time it was.
Guys, If This makes it better to access and read, I want to make it better. Is it better now?
Hey, sorry! I was trying to cheekily point out that yes, it looks good. I read it without issues and the colors don’t clash.
I didn’t see it before, but can’t imagine anyone complaining about this format.
Thanks Mark!
Welcome to the board, @LarryTheGM. Don’t know if you have lurked in the past, but if you follow the mantra of read more, post less and don’t get offended if you get called out for stupid posts or comments, you’ll have a good time here.
It’s as though you don’t even know us.
I know, right? What don’t we complain about?
I came VERY close to writing a “And here comes the first complaint…” at the end, but decided to not be that guy for once.
That’s one and counting … slowly.
David, OK. I don’t really have a lot of time to post but I will definitely share the articles and discuss those with you all. Believe it or not I probably work more than a full time job on just creating content.
I won’t get offended if the comments are constructive. If they are just hateful or make it entirely clear that a commenter refused to spend five minutes reading something I have worked days on, I do get a little salty. If that is a problem, I can just delete myself.
I appreciated the feedback on the appearance of the website. As humbling as it is to say, THAT is not my expertise. Objective analysis is.
Just so I understand, Is this where I should post free content or try to matchup with the headings in the index?
