He has sniffed time at 2nd and 1st both in the minors and in the majors. So he might have more flexibility and again an upgrade over Singleton’s bat.
Angels get Aaron Hicks for the minimum. Would not have been the worst fit for Houston.
Yanks claimed Matt Gage, recently DFA’d by the Astros to make room for Hader.
Hicks is waste of a 40-man spot, at least until he gets hurt and moves to the 60-day IL. This move is prototypical Anaheim.
Joel Kuhnel resigned to a MiLB deal with a spring training invite.
Corbin Burnes is on the move, traded from Milwaukee to Baltimore. The AL gets a little more competitive.
It was a only a matter of time before Elias and the Orioles upgraded their starting pitching after how well the team played last season.
Lots of prospect depth, clear need in the rotation, notoriously difficult owners no longer getting in the way… yep, bound to happen.
The Orioles might be trouble. A good team getting gooder.
Bad news for the Yankees.
Elias is Luhnow Jr. Maybe an improved version.
With maybe 5% less hubris, Luhnow could have been the best general manager of all time.
Would take more than 5%.
Sounds like Maton is heading to Tampa.
Check out Witt Junior’s deal.
Love what the Royals have done this winter. Coming off a 106-loss season (their 7th straight under .500) and without much help in sight from the farm, they’ve brought in a couple solid vets to strengthen the rotation and just locked up their superstar youngster to make him the face of the franchise for a long time.
Losing sucks and they’ve gotten sick of it. Good on the org for investing instead of staying in a perpetual “rebuild.”
Witt Jr being a superstar makes me feel very, very old.
Or, they are negotiating for a new stadium and $1B from the taxpayers.
