There’s a lot of OPSEC silence from Ukraine but it sounds like they are still doing small force probing tactics looking for a breakout spot for large amounts of armor.

The Russian munitions effectiveness against the modern armor of the German and US tanks is concerning. The Russians have had a lot of prep time getting their best munitions in place readying for this offensive. The armor of these modern tanks is impressive but the effectiveness is severely diminished in the absence of the coordinated battle space management tactics (that include air support and defenses) of western armies.
Those attack helicopters will be a problem for sure. Hopefully the Ukrainians learned some hard lessons at the beginning of this thing. Apparently their night vision is far superior so they’ve been attacking at night and consolidating gains during the day.
Lots of crazy stuff coming out of Russia, of course there’s no way to really tell what’s true: head of the Wagner Group has called for armed rebellion against the govt and armed forces.

That has to be the classic line of the year. Which country? Personally, as expensive it is, well worth supporting. Putin just reminds me of soviets. They really were the pitts, everyone who has been under communism or socialism has one thing to say. It sucks and thank God for freedom
So far it hasn’t been that expensive. The Ukrainians are paying the highest price.

He’s also claiming on Telegram channels that Wagner shot down a Russian helicopter with captured NATO weapons. There is a video of a helicopter going down…
Also trust zero about what is happening in voice. Could be propaganda. Technically the fog of war. Been a year plus know.
Apparently Prigozhin is being erased from Russian internet and search results for him are being filtered.
I wonder what Prigozhin’s end game is.
It’s looking like the Prigozhin end game will be “who can find the most pieces of Evgeny Prigozhin.”

Prigozhin is still claiming fealty to Putin. He’s blaming everything on evil Russian “military elites”. Says Ukraine war was based on their lies and was a big mistake. There seems to be a Wagner force of some size moving from Rostov on Don towards Moscow, not 100% confirmed, but more than one source reporting. If that’s true, it seems that one of three things will happen:
Wagner will be stopped, destroyed or greatly weakened and Prigozhin will be arrested or killed.
Wagner will be successful as regular military doesn’t stop them or even joins them and Putin becomes Prigozhins figure head.
Putin and Prigozhin have cooked up a scheme where Shoigu and Gerasimov take the fall for the Ukrainian debacle, Putin withdraws from Ukraine , maybe not all the way to the 2021 line, but nearly, and gets the whole world demanding Ukraine settle and Russia gets international recognition of sovereignty of Crimea and Donbas.
I don’t understand why Ukraine and the international community wouldn’t demand Ukrainian control of Crimea and Donbas in the last scenario.
