It’s chaos there. The Russian government is claiming the Legion have captured police stations and are now driving cop cars and wearing uniforms. The government’s orders to its citizens? Shoot all cops on sight.

“Comrade Putin, we would like to report Russians are advancing across the border in Belgorod Oblast!”

“Excellent work, comrade!”

“…however, there is a nuance…”

Step 1: Send in the Russian separatist militias to cause chaos and draw Russian soldiers to that area.

Step 2: Start your counteroffensive.

What an awesome “fuck you” to Putin.

Russians are whining about unprovoked “terrorist” attacks.

I look forward to Putin’s defenestration.

Who knew this was all it would take?

This is like one of those “what 3 things would you buy at the store to really make the cashier wonder what you’re up to?”

Gonna make Putin even more paranoid.

Good luck to these people. I can’t imagine what would happen to them if caught.

The Russians blew up a hydroelectric dam in the Kherson region, threatening floods to over 80 towns. The reservoir, which provides cooling water to a nuclear power plant, is projected to be drained dry within 4 days.

According to the Geneva convention blowing up dams is akin to a weapon of mass destruction. Pretty major war crime and a sign of desperation.

The Russians let the reservoir fill to near overflow condition, refusing to modulate the level normally. It was thought that the dam may have simply failed because of the high water level but confirmation of explosions means it was deliberate. They let the reservoir fill to the maximum in order to inflict maximum death and destruction.

I guess we should send them those long range HIMARS missiles then.

The long awaited Ukrainian counter offensive has begun. There have been constant reconnaissance-in-force attacks along a very broad front for the last three days or so and now we see some concentration of force in Zaporizhia going towards Tokmak. Tokmak is one of the most strategic and most heavily defended places in all of occupied Ukraine. Taking or surrounding Tokmak disrupts almost all rail and road traffic between the Donbas and Russia and Crimea. In order to take Melitipol, Tokmak must be taken or surrounded (the city itself may not need to be “taken”). When Ukrainian forces reconnect with the Sea of Azov, it will be the “beginning of the end” of the war. Ukraine seems to be going strength against strength with this strategy.

This will be an awful, bloody business.

Slava Ukrainia!
