Russians have a long history with cut-rate windows. The mineral muscovite [KAl2(AlSi3)O10(OH)2] is named for “muscovy windows”, where the mineral was used as a cheaper alternative to glass. It’s time to up their window game.

Sounds like their windows are as bad as the doors here in Texas.

Don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve never fallen out of a screen door

I have walked through a screen door. On my first date with my wife. It was not my finest moment.

You just reminded me of the Hunter Pence Training Video, and now I have to look it up and watch it again.

A kid I went to school with went thru a glass patio door.

He nearly bleed to death and suffered permanent damage in one arm.

The accident happened in elementary school iirc. The arm still grew some but it was always smaller than the other.

This war will devastate the Russian O & G industry. Leadership and technical expertise has and will continue to exit the country. How many competent people will step into the Chairmanship of Lukoil? Anyone remotely capable of the job has already skedaddled.

This will remove a lot of Russian oil from the market for a long time regardless of sanctions.

No, they’re really not.

Germany is dealing with the absence of Russian gas better than anyone predicted. Within a year they will have adjusted to a new energy mix with U.S. LNG being a big part of it along with more renewables. By the time Russia gets back in the international community and Western O&G expertise can get their Siberian fields and Sakalin Island back up and running there’s a good possibility worldwide demand will be in decline. Russia will be impoverished for the next decade or more. Hopefully this will reduce or remove their malevolent presence in international affairs.

I knew a guy in college that jumped through a sliding glass door on purpose. He had seen people do it in the movies and wanted to try it for himself. He didn’t know that on movie/TV sets they use breakaway glass instead of real glass so that performers don’t get hurt. He got hurt.

Or maybe it makes them more reckless with little to lose.

Hope in one hand, shit in the other.

This is a real worry. It’s not like Putin is the most stable, rational of people.
