The Rise of Skywalker (spoilers)

I thought it was all but confirmed in one of the comics but this and this (both from a week or two ago) say that is not the case.

So… carry on.

So I don’t know how this works in Star Wars, but in the Star Trek universe only “first-party” works like the movies and TV shows are considered canon. “Third-party” works like novels, comic books, and video games - even if officially licensed - are not canon. Is Star Wars different?

When Disney bought it they stripped the Extended Universe of canon status, but all new TV, comics, novels, and of course movies, are considered canon.

Wookieepedia covers what is, and I’d not, canon.

I dabbled with a few of the Vader comics, and just finished Rebels. I’ll probably try to hit the must-watch Clone Wars eps before the new season drops.

If they would have put Dave Filoni in charge of the new trilogy I think the whole thing would have turned out so much better.

Of the issues with ROS, the most egregious is casting Keri Russell and then keeping her under a helmet for the entire movie.
