The Inevitable What About The Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread Thread

Dude, he was a registered Republican. It’s right there in the voter registration roles. And, he worked as a minority (Republican there in Philly) election observer. No way to spin that.

There is bias in media on both sides. You got duped by the conservative media this time. The only reasonable response is to own that and move on.

Can you give examples of “left” media, beyond Rachel Maddow?

There’s no equivalent on the left, it’s a myth, and using the term “bias” when describing Fox, Newsmax, etc. is such an intellectual minimization.

I don’t doubt there are “leftist” sites that are full of shit, and may indeed spread misinformation, but they aren’t viewed by many people. I even doubt people can find Maddow guilty of misinformation. Sure, she’s a leftie and will see all things that way, but I’d be surprised if there are many examples of her telling lies, without correcting herself down the line.

Yeah that’s a bunch of hog wash. I do not believe he is a Republican. How many cross dressing, possibly transgender, BLM supporting thugs have you seen that support conservatives? I have not seen any.

You’ve been at this for some time now, and I don’t recall seeing it asked before: Are your posts in this thread just performative trolling for the lolz, trying to own the libz?

Wait… I thought all of the posts but mine in this thread and the old thread were intended to be a joke.

So, that is your backhanded admission that you’ve just been fucking with everyone the entire time?

Does everyone else but me backhandedly admit that the nonsense posted in this thread and the old thread was intended to be a joke?

Limey is a certified comedian. I get a laugh from him and his posts in the political thread daily.

I figured this out almost immediately which is why I’ve been ignoring him for years. He absolutely thrives on negative attention and I refuse to provide it.

Would that others had my steel reserve.

I could never tell if he was trolling of if he was a fully paid-up member of the cult. Either way, I decline to bash my head against a brick wall for someone else’s enjoyment. Ignore is the way to go.

Limey and Chuck have me “ignored” because they couldn’t prove any of their liberal agenda CNN based arguments when they tried to argue with me about politics. They both threw their hands up because deep down they knew they were both wrong. They had total meltdowns and resorted to calling me every name and curse word in the book. I do not hold that against them. However, it is a little funny that they both still read my comments anyway, though.

Trolling is a sacrament of the cult.

It took me long enough to figure that out.

You are another one who failed miserably arguing. You got built up in a rage and cursed me out, calling me a racist, etc, because after you saw that you had no leg to stand on with your BS liberal arguments, name calling is all you had left. You also read my “ignored” posts, though. Another low IQ guy. You sold a 1969 Hemi Dodge Charger. How smart can you be?

Trump’s own words remain undefeated.

I just hope they can find room in between all his other depositions, court appearances, arraignments and trials.

The judge specifically mentioned in the ruling that since he had time to initiate other litigation, he had time for a deposition.

The evidence against Trump’s DOJ in this case is overwhelming.

“Examples” are not really the best way to have an intelligent conversation about bias in the media. Instead, academic research in the Library Sciences chooses to express a spectrum of biases from the traditional left to the traditional right on the horizontal with a number of known, researched biases on the degreed vertical, such as “original fact presented by rigorous reporting” to “opinion with a wide variation of reliability” all the way down to “contains misleading and fabricated info”. With a number of gradations in between. As a matter of convenience, I’ll pick on one with strong uptake by Library Science departments at a number of universities, but there are a few methodologies out there. Here’s an example of a chart, from the Library Services at the University of Central Oklahoma:

…and, here’s the underlying taxonomy for the analysis, the analysis methodology and the error checking and correction mechanisms contained therein:

And, if you want to weight certain criteria according to your personal likes (biases) you can even do so here:

The one thing that is clear is that, even with the simplest of academic reviews, a macro-analysis reveals that bias is indeed intrinsic in the media today and that it crosses the political spectrum.
