Apparently it’s clear now from the unsealed indictment that the case is assigned fully to Judge Cannon. So let the games begin. One obvious thing to watch for is her slow walking decisions on pre-trial motions, the same way she did on the appeals over the special master.
Delay is Trump’s friend, and has been his #1 go-to tactic for decades. While another judge might not allow such obvious shenanigans, Cannon may well be receptive to anything and everything that Trump’s lawyers (tba) throw at the wall.
Thanks for posting that. I recall Annise Parker making homelessness a priority and when she left office in 2016 it was reported that there was an available bed for every unhoused person in the city. Glad that Sylvester is continuing the improvement. It seems like an eminently solvable problem, if leaders are willing to productively meet it head on.
Manafort was tried on different charges in two different jurisdictions.
Agreed. If Smith brought everything in one go in DC, Trump would spend years arguing the toss about venue. It’s cleaner and quicker - and also entirely appropriate - to bring charges for the Florida crimes in Florida.
But this also sets up the argument against moving any other charges to Florida, on the basis that the (alleged) crimes were all committed in DC or wherever, rendering Florida irrelevant to those cases.
You guys need to stop and use your brain for a second. It has been reported that President Trump had several hundred classified documents. That would likely equate to 2 or 3 bankers boxes at the very most.
We have no idea what’s in those stacks and stacks of boxes, but we know that showing those photos is meant to imply that they are chock full of classified documents. The one they show the documents falling out of is stacks of newspapers and pictures. Showing the stacks and stacks of boxes is intentional and dishonest, but for the Demorcrats and the media, it’s OK because it advances the narrative.
Don’t forget too that the FBI and NARA had visited the site and all they said was “put another lock on the door”. Now they describe it as a completely unsecured storage. Doesn’t make sense. The Secret Service and Trump’s private security are there 24/7. I’m not buying any of the proven corrupt DOJ narrative.
Biggest nightmare client ever. Think about those attorneys at MaL, they all told him he had to return the documents. They all told him if he returned the documents, there would be no further issues. Easy advice, simple to follow with a great outcome… instead he lies to THEM, and hides documents from THEM so that they mislead the FBI and jeopardize themselves. Who would possibly want such a client?
All he had to do was follow his own attorney’s instructions and give them back. None of us would even know about any of it.
