The Inevitable What About The Inevitable You-Know-Who Thread Thread

I’m just glad Republicans outnumber Democrats in Texas by a large amount.

Thing is, it’s not a large amount. But skillful gerrymandering ensures that Republican state legislators and federal House members vastly outnumber Democrat state legislators and federal House members.

BOOM!

It’s fork-sticking time.

The governor’s race did not reflect that.

This guy speaks my language.

things are not looking good right now for the once-indicted twice-impeached popular-vote-losing insurrection-leading serial-sexual-predating casino-bankrupting hush-money-paying real-estate-scamming classified-war-plan-thieving weather-map-defacing tax-cheating charity-defrauding money-laundering fluorescent tangerine fuckface holed up in his shitty vermin-infested Florida golf motel.

allow me to explain.

The guy who runs Trump’s Super PAC has just completed his testimony to Jack Smith’s Florida grand jury. So that’s the wire fraud indictment sorted.

Trump’s big, beautiful border wall is more easily breached than what was there before.

The cognitive dissonance around this is hilarious.

Republicans: We must build a wall to secure our border!

Also Republicans:

PS: Mexico didn’t pay shit for any of it.

Democrat logic on border: Don’t do anything and let them flood in.

Meadows has flipped; will plead to lesser charges in return for testimony. Trump to be charged for obstruction and violations of the Espionage Act.

Espionage act? Did he sell secrets to Iran? I bet he sold secrets to Iran…and his buddy in North Korea. I reject the notion that he sold secrets to Russia; they were already part of the deal.

I’m pretty sure he gave secrets to Russia, because they’d already bought him with the election assistance.

My understanding is that you can trip the Espionage Act simply by having defense secrets - the confidentiality status thereof being irrelevant - that you should not have. Any activity with those records over and above holding them ramps up the seriousness of the violation.

That’s my understanding too. Of course, they don’t have to be security documents to be illegal to have under the Presidential Records Act, but the Archives are only interested in completeness of the record. Just give the documents back and there’s no problem; like Pence, Biden, and I’m sure many before have. Those types of documents only become an issue if the holder lies about having them, hides them, or obstructs the return of them.

National security documents, are very different, regardless of their classification.

I’m still betting he sold secrets to Iran and North Korea…and probably Saudi Arabia.

Definitely the Saudis. The point of hosting the LIV tour at his golf courses is so they can pour money into his pocket on the quiet.

He had almost all of the stolen documents at MAL, but the Iran stuff was at Deadminster, where the Saudis held their first tournament.
