I’m a simple sort of fellow, but it still amuses me that Trumpy clogged up countless White House toilets trying to flush incriminating evidence away when the building contains 47 fireplaces. Par for the course, what. Probably the only legitimate par he’ll shoot.
Hey, why don’t we just take these over to the fi- NO! Here! Chew it up!
It never hurts to take a moment to reflect that these are the sorts of people we’re up against and that they may well find themselves in power again.
Jack Smith has added a hugely-experienced war crimes prosecutor to his team. Now, I’m not suggesting that Trump is being tried for war crimes (yet), but this speaks to the quality of the people on Smith’s team, and that he is gearing up for trial. Contrast this with Trump’s clown car of crackpot (unpaid) attorneys, and the trials should be a bloodbath.
For all the shit with which Trumpanzees flood the zone, when it comes to court, they get chewed up and spat out at neck-snapping speed. To wit:
Trump was found liable by summary judgement for damages to E. Jean Carroll for sexual assault and defamation
Trump was found liable by summary judgement for damages to E. Jean Carroll for defamation - this isn’t a typo, it’s happened twice (to date)
Giuliani was found liable by summary judgement for damages to Georgia poll workers for defamation
Bannon was found guilty of contempt of Congress
Navarro was found guilty of contempt of Congress
Fox News settled a defamation suit by Dominion for three quarters of a billion dollars, fired its highest-rated host and now founder/chairman/CEO has stepped down
Rhodes was found guilty of seditious conspiracy and is going to Federal pound-me-in-the-ass jail for decades
Tarrio was found guilty of seditious conspiracy and is going to Federal pound-me-in-the-ass jail for decades
A number of Rhodes’ / Tarrio’s co-conspirators were found guilty of seditious conspiracy and are going to jail for long stretches
Over a thousand Trump supporters have been charged following the Jan 6 insurrection; over 500 of them have received custodial sentences - the vast majority of which are in actual jail (not home detention)
The number of Jan 6 insurrections acquitted at trial is so small as to be statistically irrelevant (I think it might actually be just a single acquittal)
I know there is a lot of rational fear that Trump might somehow escape justice, but history, facts and the law are not on his side here. Smith knows he’s coming for the king, so he’s going to use all 9 yards from his mini gun to make sure he doesn’t miss.
As an aside, Trump was in an Ohio store pretending to buy a gun (which is against the law in Ohio for anyone with pending felony charges). But that’s not the issue here; just look at this fuckwit waving the gun around with absolutely zero care for who it’s pointing at.
Cassidy Hutchinson called out Meadows. He released a statement saying her book is full of lies to generate sales. She just said to Maddow that what’s in the book is consistent with her sworn testimony. If he wants to contradict her, he should go raise his hand and swear to it.
Also, it seems like every day was sexually harass an assistant day. Giuliani, Gaetz (du-uh) and frikkin John Boehner.
You don’t give a fuck that Biden used to shower with his daughter?
I’m sorry the collage upsets you. People like to try to paint Republicans to be sexual abusers when their President gropes little kids and inappropriately touches women. Hypocrisy at the highest level and I’m going to point it out every time.
