On many issues, sure, we can agree to disagree amicably. However, considering your support of a man who committed acts of treason to overturn the legitimate results of a United States Presidential Election and would gladly destroy America’s democracy to become the Putin of the United States, the answer is a resounding no. Your support of Trump and one of his mini-me’s, Ron DeSantis, who continues to strip away rights and freedoms from those in Florida, threatens the democracy of the country my family and I call home. The opinion you share is incredibly dangerous and one I cannot agree to disagree amicably with you about as a human being.
Also, I wish you would read and think about the paragraph I quoted from you in this post. You don’t want to let one side gain total control in our federal government, but you support a man (Trump) who tried to literally do that by overthrowing the legitimate results of the 2020 Presidential Election because he lost. Make no mistake, if he had won and Republicans gained a majority in Congress during his term, he would have worked to get laws and regulations passed that would have abolished term limits for U.S. presidents and enabled him to turn our democracy into a dictatorship, with him as leader until his death.
Also, your stance of “I”ll never vote Democrat again” does nothing to ensure that one political party doesn’t gain total control of our federal government. In fact, it makes it far more likely to happen.
