In the Stollen (sic) Documents case, having had his request to be able to view classified documents at his residence denied, Trump now wants us to build him a SCIF at Mar-a-Lago for the same purpose.
So that President Trump and his legal team may discuss classified information in a substantive manner as regularly as necessary to prepare an adequate defense, we respectfully request that the Court approve re-establishment of a secure facility in which President Trump previously discussed (and reviewed) classified information during his term as President of the United States.
Luckily, it’s highly unlikely that a state court has the authority to order such a thing, so Judge Cannon will get slapped back (again) if she tries to do so. But just think about this for a moment:

The documents in this case are held in a central location so that everyone involved - who has clearance - can view/discuss them, and so that nobody without clearance can. If they’re at Mar-a-Lago, Jack Smith’s team no longer has access and NARA no longer has control over who can see them.

How do the documents get back and forth between the two locations? Trump’s lawyers can’t just pack them up in a banker’s box and stick them in the back of an SUV. NARA has procedures and personnel for doing this stuff, and they cannot be at the beck and call of Trump and his attorneys. Trump’s motion glaringly avoids discussing this part.

Trump’s mishandling of classified documents is the reason there is an indictment in the first place. The chances of critical items of evidence going missing in transit is about 1,000%.
