Democrats are trying it again. I hope they have better success this time than the last.
Apparently, the GOP can have them arrested and physically returned to the Capitol if they can catch them.
That would be a juxtaposition for sure: the Texas majority having the minority hunted down like fugitives, while Manchin and Sinema defend the minority’s right to block legislation in Washington. I just don’t understand how they can be so oblivious to the desperate fight going on in the states.
Biden is going to give a speech tomorrow; I hope is the start of a campaign to turn the screws on those two to get the filibuster amended, at least for voting rights. They haven’t got much time, because I can see this SCOTUS kicking the can past the next election while allowing these vote suppression laws to stand (after which, it won’t matter).
