He was on the local news last night claiming that each of the terminated people had different personal issues that all came to a head at the same time. Riiiiiigghhht.
Although, in a way they did: they had all agreed, at one point or another, to work for Paxton.

Let’s not forget Paxton, a Baylor alum, almost certainly helped his alma mater sweep their fine upstanding football team’s transgressions under the rug.

Bowing to the cherished principle that transparency makes for better government, better institutions and better communities, state lawmakers last year overwhelmingly passed a law requiring private university and college police departments to release upon request information such as crime reports, just as city police departments must do.
…
Now it appears much of this law is in serious doubt, judging from inaction by State Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office aiding Baylor University in what more and more of the public are concluding is a massive and self-destructive cover-up concerning its handling of sexual assaults involving students and, in some cases, athletes.
…
The fact the attorney general’s office has now made vague a new and very straightforward law feeds one more damaging narrative, casually noted by a lawmaker’s staffer who remarked to us that Attorney General Ken Paxton is a Baylor grad.

He had his best guys working on it:
Attorneys for former employees who were fired after accusing Paxton of abuse of office say report is "full of half-truths, outright lies, and glaring omissions." Meanwhile, the FBI is also reportedly investigating.

Smart of him to bring it all back to the forefront.
I saw tweet about it yesterday but didn’t investigate it thinking it was just a joke.
He’s so not smart.

This is up there with Rand Paul creating his own ophthalmic certification standard and then certifying himself under it.
