The OLine was fine. Stroud was fine. The offense was plenty good enough. After the league stepped in and said âeven this upâ, the defense fell apart. You cannot win with Reed Blankenship in your secondary. Itâs just not happening. I donât know who is out to cause you to have to run him out there every week, but they will not win a game as long as they do.
The other thing is the Texans kick coverage this year is a complete catastrophe. I think the average starting field position for the Cowboys today was about the 45 yard line. I donât recall any drive for any opponent starting inside their 30 this season. Youâre giving up 100+ yards of field position every game just because you canât cover a kick.
There was no alternate reality where the Cowboys were not scoring a TD on that last drive.
They cannot run the ball at all. And thatâs OK if you accept it and throw it to run it. But of course they donât, they continue to be run first, in every situation, at all times.
They scored 30 points today. You have to win an NFL game where your offense gets you 30 points. You simply cannot give up 28 in the 2H.
